Mario Lobo

Mario Lobo’s artistic career began in 1984 attending the Dalia Condis Art school in North Bergen New Jersey at the age of 15. After graduating High School, he attended the School of Visual Arts, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. He made a living illustrating for clinical periodicals and the dance music industry creating covers for their catalogs and singers.

 

Mario worked for Strictly Rhythm Records in NYC and Subliminal Records; both are leading edge in the underground House music genre. He joined Continental Airlines in 1996 and in 2002 and began his digital artistic period in which he taught his self-video editing, digital photography, field sound recording, voiceover writing and video capture.

 

He began to create training content for Continental Airlines that later in 2013 merged with United Airlines. Alongside the video training material. Mario started photograph and record diverse dance events in New York City that led him to being recommended to edit a documentary based on the life of Tony “Mr. Wave” Wesley a former New York City Breaker of Beat Street fame. Their joint venture allowed him to render Hip Hop in high quality to capture the humanity behind the most famous icons of the golden era of Hip Hop.
 

Working with Tony “Mr. Wave” Wesley prompted him to donate his editing services to Mr. Wave’s foundation “I AM That Kid.” Getting involved in the needs of the young within the fringed communities in the Chicago area, fostering good health and healing through dance.

 

 Reel Sung Production documentary projects have led him to travel many places and interview many unsung heroes of Hip Hop. To hear all whose stories are yet to be told. Mario has a part of culture in his hands, and the goal is to educate first, bring quality of depiction unlike that has been done before, foster the culture, and bridge the world of art with the rest of humanity while depicting subjects with the dignity and respect they merit. Mario will continue to create wonderful content to inspire everyone from every age.
